Boss Battle is an interactive theater performance and role-playing sport. One player takes on the role of boss and the others as workers. On the surface, the workers are forming assembly lines to toss balls into a bucket. But the limits drawn by the rules in the form of a work contract given to the players are intentionally loose so that the core of the game involves the players negotiating fairness themselves. Boss Battle was designed to give players room to explore how the rules of social/physical games are always constructed and breakable.

Boss Battle has been played at numerous gaming events in Montreal and every time it’s been played, players have developed new strategies for negotiating fairness. Join the game at our Maker Faire! Games will be run on both Friday and Saturday and are open to people of all ages!
